This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasnβt disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
During the Fifties and the Sixties, the place to be at sundown was on Broadway ... Broadway in Portland, Oregon. While the street is much changed today, it's hard to forget the glitter of all those lights and the activity around the theaters. This painting depicts how I remember it to be. We used to call it "Running the Gut" or just "Crusin Broadway." Put on your leather jacket, stradivarius shirt, argyle socks and saddle shoes .... then have some fun.

After art college I returned to Portland, Oregon to pursue the art of dentistry. I retired from dentistry a few years ago (I'm still practicing at the Geriatric Dental Clinic in Portland), but I hope to keep painting until I can no longer hold a brush. I paint realism, but mostly I paint "realism with an attitude." I love the ability to enhance what I see with an emphasis on color and...
