Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Inspired by the centuries-old Chinese tradition of private gardens designed for scholarly pursuits, Liu Fang Yuan, or the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, combines the scenic beauty of nature with the expressiveness of literature to give deeper meaning to the landscape. Found in the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in Pasadena California.
I am a full-time freelance photographer based out of Los Angeles, specializing in landscapes and nature. I am also the staff photographer at the Los Angeles Zoo and my photography can be seen regularly published in the Zoo Magazine, website and various other marketing materials. With a background in animal behavior and marine biology from UCLA, I had always envisioned myself as a Professor teaching and conducting research, but instead I opted to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion for photography. I am so happy, glad, and proud that it has become a reality.
